Shortly before his death, Jesus took the time to assure, affirm, and comfort his disciples. He knew a difficult time lay ahead of them - one of confusion and pain. And he reminded them he would always be with them. Jesus said: "I leave with you my shalom", in Hebrew meaning 'peace', and describes his peace as different than the peace of the world.

with fear tugging his sleeve
Jesus took the time

Speaking words that would float:
a life raft in the storm to come
Reminding them that fear is just a lie
That God would never leave their side
