about

(Matthew 5:17-19)

Yud, the smallest letter in the Hebrew alphabet, the atom of consonants, and the form from which all other letters begin and end. It is otherwise referred to as a dot, or a tiitle. It also had a numerical value of ten.

In Matthew 5:18, Jesus that no one yud will pass away Torah until everything has happened.

lyrics

Do not think I have come
to abolish the Torah
or the words the Prophets spoke
No, but to complete them.

Do not think that I have come
to abolish the Torah
or the words the Prophets spoke
No, but to complete them.

Truly I tell you
until Heaven and Earth passes away
not even the smallest letter
not the least stroke of a pen
will disappear

Truly I tell you
until Heaven and Earth passes away
not even the smallest letter
not the least stroke of a pen
will disappear
until it is accomplished
until it is accomplished -
everything

So whoever disobeys
the least of these commandments,
teaching others to do so,
will be the the least
in my Kingdom
