Leave His Handprint
03:59
|
|
||
Most church happens outside the building
Most preaching happens when we listen
And the loudest sermons will always be our lives
Most change happens on the inside
But what happen when we become a people
addicted to numerical success
Counting members, counting days and counting money
Effectiveness is trumped by busyness
Leave the vanity of power and control
Come escape from an act and a performance
Leave his handprint on my shoulder
and his signature on my tongue
And I will follow the Lamb where he goes
If you think that the Lord needs a big screen
Certain music or the lighting "just so"
You must have confused the Living Word with a program
It's before and after show-time you witness the most
Leave the vanity of power and control
Come escape from an act and a performance
Leave his handprint on my shoulder
and his signature on my tongue
And I will follow the Lamb where he goes
Our calling's not to maintenance and traffic's to the back door
if church becomes a business more than loving people more
It's like trying to plant in a desert when we're dying of thirst
It's all about relationship, about meeting Him first
Leave the vanity of power and control
Come escape from an act and a performance
Leave his handprint on my shoulder
and his signature on my tongue
And I will follow the Lamb where he goes

Armour
05:00
|
|
||
Tie the belt of truth around your ways;
in each word and act be truthful.
Put on righteousness as your breastplate;
paint His justice over all you do
Put on His armour, Travellers
Stand firm and watch Him move
Your victory will stand or fall
on Him and not on you
by Him and not by you
Clothe your feet with readiness to move
in the Good News of His Shalom.
Carry close the shield of trust in grace,
that the Devil's arrows fall short
Put on His armour, Followers
Stand firm and watch Him move
Your victory will stand or fall
on Him and not on you
by Him and not by you
Wear the helmet of deliverance,
to remember that He rescues.
Grip the sword, the piercing Word of God,
Praying always for He hears you.
Put on His armour, Soldiers
Be brave in love and peace
His perfect love will drive out fear
Your victory lies in Him
On the days when I have failed to fight
Slow in love and so self-serving
Please remind me of the endless hope
that for me is always waiting
This is your armour, Children!
His work, His love, His win
Our victory will stand or fall
on our trust in Him
He is your armour, Children!
Stand firm and watch Him move
Though all you have's a mustard seed
He'll grow this trust in you
He'll win the fight in you

Pitter Patter
03:05
|
|
||
I can hear the pitter patter of your feet as you flood into my court
While your hearts are turned in the other direction
I can smell the many offerings, meaningless things
Your incense doesn't cover the stench of love forsaken
Stop doing wrong, learn to do right
Seek justice, encouraged the oppressed
Defend the fatherless and the widow
You have spread your hands out wide
Sending out a wave, a tide of empty word,
half-hearted utterings
When we both know they are full of blood
It's about high time you came and washed them in my love
Stop doing wrong, learn to do right
Seek justice, encouraged the oppressed
Defend the fatherless and the widow

Fundamentals
03:23
|
|
||
We've been walking down religious roads
for a long, long time
for a long, long time
But are we living the life that we preach
It's about high time
it's about high time
And it's easy to talk about
"We're embracing souls" but there's
a long way to go
Between the churches that we hold are forts
and the 'unclean horde'
Oh, help us Lord
Oh, back to fundamentals
Oh back to you Lord
Oh, back to fundamentals
I'm marching back to the Cornerstone
I'm marching back to the Cornerstone
There is belonging beyond just members
There is a unity beyond our group
Oh Jesus no one but you can help us
to see each other the way you do
Oh, back to fundamentals
Oh, back to you Lord
I'm marching back to the fundamentals
I'm going back to the Cornerstone
I'm going back to the Cornerstone
And so I pray for a change within me
That though I fail I will always return
To the rock of my salvation
The only God and the flame that burne

Wet Paint
04:36
|
|
||
Hopeless with no end in sight
A tunnel with no finish light
A mess that's simply not worth the fight
Unwilling and impossible
Investment that seems to small
Rebellion far away from home
How often do we fence off
the people that we write off
as being beyond our help
Under construction
Not done yet
His hands are still working through this beautiful mess
Easy where you let the judgement fall just yet
Chances are the paint's still wet
Guilty with no alibi
Stepping wrong, digesting lies
A soul of soil where disappointment thrives
But place the odds against his name
and do your careful math again
You might realise he has just begun
How often do we fence off
the people that we write off
as being beyond our help
Under construction
Not done yet
His hands are still working through this beautiful mess
Don't let your the judgement fall just yet
Chances are the paint's still wet
How often do we fence off
the people that we write off
as being beyond His help
Under construction
Not done yet
His hands are still working through your beautiful mess
Don't let your the judgement fall just yet
Chances are the paint's still wet

I Believe
05:32
|
|
||
On the fragile paper he etched a simple word
The scratches were as broken as his soul
But as he spoke the letters and slowly read them out
His heart started up a new song
His heart started up a new song:
I believe, I believe
In your name Adonai
I believe, I believe
With each breath that I choose to breathe
I believe
In my fragile faith, Lord
Through sweat and blood and tears
My courage has eluded me these years
But I will soon grow silent
So desperate at your feet
And simply whisper: "Lord, help me to believe."
I believe, I believe
In your name Adonai
I believe, I believe
With each breath that I choose to breathe
I believe
On this fragile life, Lord
Come etch your living words
Start a spark that blazes into flame
And no matter what may happen
No matter what may come
Give me faith that I may truly say:
I believe, I believe
In your name Adonai
I believe, I believe
With each breath that I choose to breathe
I believe

Justified
04:52
|
|
||
While were sinners
Jesus he loved us
While we were guilty
Jesus died for us
This is how
our God demonstrates his love
While were sinners
Jesus he loved us
While we were guilty
Jesus died for us
This is how
our God demonstrates his love
He who saved
while we were still undone
Just at the right time
when we were powerless
Jesus came and he died
So in the Lord we are justified
So very rarely would man die for someone
Maybe our family or a righteous person
But this is how
our God demonstrates his love
He who saved while we were still undone
Just at the right time
when we were powerless
Jesus came and he died
So that in the Lord we are justified
You and I we are justified

The Princess Song
04:47
|
|||
Baby you're a pearl
Pulled from darkness deep
An enigmatic gift to hold
A mystery
His life moves in you
Signature of God
left behind like little crumbs for you to find
Oo, whoever you may grow to be
We vow to be your family
with open arms
Darling you're a gift
Diamond in the rough
And we can only catch a glimpse of
what you cost
His heart moves for you
Knows your weight in grace
And though your closest friend may fail
He'll always stay
Oo, whoever you may grow to be
We vow to be your family
with open arms
There will come a day
when your family fails
To show the grace that he has shown
to be examples in your home
Oh Lord, we pray that you will shine despite of us!
Oo, whoever she may grow to be
Jesus is her family
with open arms
Oo, wherever she may choose to go
We pray that she will always knows
His open arms

Cinderella's Taylor
03:54
|
|
||
My darling, you're like needle and thread
piercing a hole, then binding together
saving the fabric in white and red
mending broken of cotton and leather
Pulling and tugging at gaping holes
chasms dictating my whole existence
but for the sake of this heart you hold
you have waged war on my clothed existence
You're Cinderella's taylor
making sure she gets to the feast
You're making her into a princess
Just the same you're making me
Sowing new seeds in the stubborn ground
Planting the faith that will bud at fall
Now sow me a dress of clean silk and sound
That I may attend the midnight's ball
You are Cinderella's taylor
making sure she gets to the feast
You're making her into a princess
Just the same you're making me
You're making your daughters into princesses
And the same you're making me
You'll be making me
You're cinderella's taylor

Shaking Foundations
05:25
|
|
||
His eyes were straight, his vision set
He'd teach them a lesson they'd never forget
He knew his path without a doubt
There was no way he could be wrong
when he'd believe it for so long
The Roman, Jew, and the Pharisee
Rode down the road on a hunting spree
But from the heavens shone a light
he heard a name that he had chased
Now Paul beheld him face to face
Jesus shake our foundations
Break us into your mold
Stop us in our tracks, Lord
You're calling us to walk a better road
His eyes were blind but his heart now saw
A different master, a different call
To bear the Gospel of the Cross
to strangers stumbling in the night
For he had seen the Saviour's light
Jesus, shake our foundations
Break us into your mold
Stop us in our tracks, Lord
You're calling us to walk a better road
Jesus, change our vision
Let us see the world through your eyes
For though we have our own plans
You have something much better in mind
How often the plans that He has for us
Turn out to be far better than our own
And he can turn every sinner into
A warrior of Christ
Jesus, shake my foundations
Break me into your mold
Stop me in our tracks, Lord
You're calling me to walk a better road
Jesus, change our vision
Let us see the world through your eyes
For though I have my own plans
You've got something much better in mind

The Day of the Lord
04:34
|
|
||
Right 'round the corner
like roaring of waters
I'll repay you for the years
in the desert and the hunger
I will poor out my spirit
on all of these people
and they will know that I am God
See I will pour out my Spirit
Your sons and your daughters will soon prophecy
Your old men will dream and your young will see visions
And all who call on me will be saved
I'll show them wonders
on the heavens and on earth
blood and fire and billows of smoke
the sun turned to darkness and the moon to blood-red
before the coming of the great day of the Lord
See I will pour out my Spirit
Your sons and your daughters will soon prophecy
Your old men will dream and your young will see visions
And all who call on me will be saved

The Carpenter's Hands
04:56
|
|
||
Come enter in this small room
A candle flickers in the corner
A work bench filled with wood and tools
I watch the great Transformer
Raw-worked hands are never still
Cutting sawing bending
The place is filled with dust and dreams
My heart which he is mending
I am like clay within your hands
I am the wood you're shaping
Teach me to trust in your master-plan
The carpenter's hands are working
The carpenter's hands are working
And maybe I'll become a door
so others too may enter
Perhaps a boat to sail the sea
A Gospel-led adventure
Or maybe you will make my life
Into a grand piano
That I may play on keys of grace
that dance in joy and sorrow
Of maybe I'll be a wooden cross
Reflect the timeless story
of how a Carpenter of God
was nailed to it for mercy
I am like clay within your hands
I am the wood you're shaping
Teach me to trust in your master-plan
The carpenter's hands are loving
I am like clay within your hands
I am the wood you're shaping
Teach me to trust in your master plan
The carpenter's hands are loving
The carpenter's hands are working
The carpenter's hands are working

Father Jacob
05:22
|
|
||
Oh the nights of dark despair
Anxious thoughts your only prayers
When your mind is scattered, lost
As your past claims its cost
Jacob went to be alone
Caught in struggle that chilled his bones
And the feeling of being uncertain
what lies behind morning's curtain
Father Jacob
Once a fraud
Struggles for a blessing
Wrestles God
So this stranger wrestled him
Hours of a desperate grip
Unable to overpower him
the stranger simply touched his hip (Chorus)
Why is that we think of struggle as a sign of a lack of faith.
When the people called to be God's treasure
have struggle written into their name
Father Jacob
Once a fraud
Struggles for a blessings
Wrestled God
Israel.
