(1 Samuel 8:4-7) To Samuel the people said: “Give us a king” Oh We want a ruler like the other nations here Oh Have your forgotten who is your king? Will this cause you all to say: 'At last, at last the king has arrived' The day of exile came in like a raging storm Oh And the glory in the temple is there no more Oh Where is the Shekinah? Who will restore? Who will cause our hearts to sing: 'At last, at last the king has arrived' 400 years of silence since the exiled days Oh But in the town of David an ancient vision stirs Will he make the exiled sing... At last! At last the king has arrived! We need a shepherd Strong for the weak Unlike the tyrants that we have seen Come hear the story Watch it unfold Hear how Jehovah, God becomes King At last

How Long? 03:27
(Luke 2:1) O come, o come, Immanuel And ransom captive Israel We mourn in lonely exile here until the son of God appears How long? How long, Immanuel? Oh, come you rod of Jesse, free your own from Satan's tyranny From depths of death your people save And give them victory over the grave How long? How long? Immanuel, Oh come to us, to Israel

A teenage girl, mother soon-to-be. travels to David’s city The sky was clear and the hour was late The air was thick with prophetic weight Lonely hearts strung across the land They've been waiting long for a healing hand My heart it hears and I feel a chill when love came down, did the Earth stand still? For in Bethlehem - this night Into dark is born the light Tell me how can a stable hold God of us all tonight Shepherds stirred under starry skies Tasting grace that would change their lives The angels trembled, the demons too For they knew very well what his grace would do. For in Bethlehem - this night Into dark is born the light Tell me how can a stable hold God of us all tonight The hope of this world in a baby boy and his inhale has birthed our joy Who is God that he comes like this? When love came down, did the Earth stand still? When love came down did the Earth stand still? And in Bethlehem this night Into dark is born the light Tell me how can a stable hold God of us all And in Bethlehem this night in the dark is born our light Tell me how can a stable hold God of us all tonight?

Could It Be 03:59
Could it be that the King of kings is this sleeping child? Is it him? Is it he who burned inside the bush? And these hands are the hands which wrote commandments in the stone? Is it you who will deliver us all? Could it be that Lord of angels lives in our skin? And he breathes he who parted seas with his very breath And those feet are they those which walked with Adam in the start? Is it you who will deliver us all? Yeshua: 'the Lord who saves' Messiah Can it be it is you who we've been waiting for? All these years every promise we've been watching for! Will your heel be the one to crush the lies that hold us bound? Yeshua Yeshua Will you deliver us all!

A remix of the traditional Christmas carol "Once in Royal David's City", and the hymn "All Creatures of Our God and King" - set to celtic folk instrumentation. (Jeremiah 23:5) Once in royal Davids city, Stood a lowly cattle shed, Where a mother laid her baby, In a manger for his bed: Mary was that mother mild, Jesus Christ, her little child. All creatures of our God and king Lift up your voice and with us sing: Alleluia, alleluia! Thou burning sun with golden beam Thou silver moon with softer gleam Oh, praise him Oh praise him!
6.
Cover of the Christmas carol by Isaac Watts (Psalm 98, 96:11-12 & Genesis 3:17-18) Joy to the world, the Lord has come Let Earth receive her king Let every heart prepare him room and Heaven and nature sing and Heaven and nature sing and Heaven and Heaven and nature sing No more let sin and sorrow grow nor thorns infest the ground He comes to make his blessings flow far as the curse is found far as the curse is found far as, far as the curse is found He rules the world with truth and grace and makes the nations prove The glories of his righteousness and wonders of his love and wonders of his love and wonders of his love and wonder of his love and wonder, and wonders of his love Oh Son of David! Oh Son of David!

(Luke, 2: 8-14, Micah 5:4, Matthew 1:23) The shepherds watched their flocks by night outside the city gates An angel of the Lord appeared said "Do not be afraid." He will arise - a shepherd strong Come to his flock, he is the Lord of all Hosanna in the highest Fear not for God is with us And his name shall be Immanuel This very night in Bethlehem a saviour has been born And peace on Earth, good will to men is sleeping in a trough He will arise - a shepherd strong Come to his flock, he is the Lord of all Hosanna in the highest Fear not for God is with us! And his name shall be Immanuel

Recorded live at BNU Church, UK (John 8:56, Hebrews 11:13) Many prophets, waiting people, longed to see what we have seen. Since Creation, trust in patience, that the Promise would appear Like the Patriarchs, trust God's promises, we will trust in your return. God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, you are faithful to each word. God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, you are faithful to your word!
9.
Instrumental (Luke 1:32)
10.
Instrumental interlude piece "...and she gave birth to her first child, a son." (Luke 2:7)

A congregational meditational song. (Romans 10:17) From Eden to Eden - our origin and plight - we can read of a good Creator God From the roaming of Abram to the suffering of Job the faithfulness of God to covenant So we open our Bibles again There is transforming power in hearing the story Trust comes by hearing the word about the Christ So we open our Bibles again A worldview is given through Revelation’s voice Is revealed by the Father of all truth And the thread which is running through human history: the testimony of two witnesses So we open our Bibles again There is transforming power in hearing the story Trust comes by hearing the word about the Christ So we open our Bibles again When we hear of Jesus, the living word in flesh, then his Spirit will change our hearts and eyes And the law and the prophets they pointed all to him and we are part of this great narrative So we open our Bibles again There is transforming power in hearing the story Trust comes by hearing the word about the Christ So we open our Bibles again We open our Bible So we open our Bibles again
12.
(Isaiah 11:6) Sing sweet and low a lullaby The angels say 'Amen' A mother tonight is rocking a baby in Bethlehem While wisemen follow through the night a star which beckons them A mother tonight is rocking her baby in Bethlehem A little child will lead them, the prophets said of old In storm and tempest heed him until his trumpet tolls Sing sweet and low your melody The angels say 'Amen' A little child shall lead them the prophets said of old In trials and tempest heed him Until his trumpet tolls Sing sweet and low your melody Creation says: 'Amen' A mother tonight is rocking a saviour in Bethlehem
13.
(Matthew 2:1-6) We three kings of Orient are Bearing gifts we travel so far Field and fountain, desert, mountain Following yonder star Born a king in Israel's land Gold I bring as fit for a king Rising ruler, past and future Over us all to reign Frankincense to offer have I Incense shows a deity's nigh Prayer and praising - all men raising - Priest between God and man Myrrh is mine, its bitter perfume Breathes of life and gathering gloom Sorrow, dying, death-defying! To resurrection's Son Sorrowing, dying, death-defying! To resurrection's Son
14.
(Isaiah 11:10+12) Born now is a king on Earth like no Earthly king Dawning is the gentile's light Spreading as we sing Lift up your voices for your light has come to every tribe and tongue Light to the gentiles, like a banner waves, all children home to God Hear now as Isaiah's words echo in this child Is God not the God of all - people far and wide? So lift up your voices for your light has come to every tribe and tongue Light to the gentiles, like a banner waves, all children home to God Those walking in darkness shall know the greatest light Those under the veil of death soon will breathe new life We will breathe his life! Lift up your voices for your light has come to every tribe and tongue Light to the gentiles, like a banner waves all children home to God So, lift up your voice for your light has come to every tribe and tongue Light to the gentiles, like a banner waves all children home to God Praise him, our Joy! Praise him, Father of us all! Praise him! He has come to all- Light to the nations Praise him, our Joy! Praise him, Father of us all! Praise him! He has come to all Light to the nations

Live recording. (Luke 2:15) Oh come all you trusting Joyful and triumphant! Oh come ye, oh come ye to Bethlehem Come and behold him Born the King of angels O come let us adore him O come let us adore him O come let us adore him Christ the Lord Christ the Lord All Hail! Lord, we greet you, Born this happy morning, Jesus, for ever more be your name adored. Word of the Father, now in flesh appearing; O let us come to know him O let us come to know him O let us come to know him Christ the Lord!
16.
Instrumental. Live recording. Cover of traditional French song: 'La Marche Des Rois Mages'
17.
Instrumental. A meditational piece. "I see him, but not now; I behold him, but not soon — a star will step forth from Jacob, a sceptre will arise from Israel.." (Numbers 24:17) In a similar way to Balaam, when he prophetically spoke of the Messianic king, we exist in an 'already now and not yet' tension. The tension between seeing Jesus, and not fully seeing him. Between experiencing his kingdom, and not yet seeing it fully implemented in the world. Existing in this state creates a dichotomy of satisfaction and longing, peace and anticipation.
18.
Live recording. (Philippians 2:6-9) In our world power looks like force and violence In our time power looks the oppression of the weak Oh, but we look at Jesus we can’t help but say: "Oh Jesus, you’re a different kind of king" And they say the fittest get ahead by shoving If you want to be 'somebody' you must blow your own trumpet loud Oh, but when I look at Jesus I can’t help but say: "Oh Jesus, you’re a different kind of king." Oh, a different kind of king To our world came the Ruler of all rulers to reflect God’s own leadership through service and through love If this is what your power and kingdom is about then oh, Jesus, you’re a better king than us Oh, for God he comes a humble child lying in the hay Yes, Jesus is the king we need today Yes, and when I look at Jesus I can confidently say: "Oh Jesus, you’re still my king today."
19.
Bells 03:10
(Psalm 120:6) I heard the bells on Christmas day Their old familiar carols played And wild and sweet the words repeat Of "Peace on Earth, peace on Earth Good will to men" I watched the light which dawned across the history of all Christendom It rolled along, the unbroken song Of peace on Earth, peace on Earth Good will to men But in despair I bowed my head "There is no peace on Earth," I said For hate is strong and mocks the song Of peace on Earth, peace on Earth Good will to men Then peeled the bells more loud and deep: "God is not dead, nor does he sleep!" The wrong shall fail; the right prevail With peace on Earth, peace on Earth Good will to men
20.
(Hebrews 10:23) Morning brings you news and headlines of the Power's rise and fight But a king of love and justice comes to make it all alright (Chorus) On our long December nights long December nights We remember the king is nigh on long December nights Times are changing, fear is tempting But the dark can't douse the light If injustice grows around you follow him with all your might In the darkest situations you can hold on to this tight: For a baby in a stable came to make everything alright On our long December nights long December nights On the Saviour fix your eyes On long December nights On our long December nights
21.
“How monotonously alike all the great tyrants and conquerors have been...” (C. S. Lewis) (Luke 8:1) Tower of Babel, the French Guillotine; No amount of mortar or violence could relieve. And no man-made ladders could raise us back to heights. Anarchy and crowns they lay rusting side by side. Who is this leader who leads on his knees - Endless in power, Commander of seas? And comes to do more than the Roman fist to break; He's bringing us an upside-down kingdom in his wake. He comes for the zealot, the pacifist too And He'll leave us all breathless from what he comes to do. And we’ve seen our revolutions; they rise and fall down. But something is different when God comes to town He's coming to give us a new way to live. Forgiven, we’re set free to serve and to forgive. And He's blurring the lines drawn between “us” and “them”. A reign that's established through the own king's bloodshed. And comes for the zealot, the pacifist too And He'll leave us all breathless from what he came to do. And we’ve seen our revolutions; they rise and fall down. But something is different when God comes to town The king now invites you to radical life: To love and live justly when hate is easier, To rebel against the darkness, self-centredness and pride. For Jesus will accomplish what men often tried. Yes, Jesus will accomplish what men have often tried And he comes for the zealot the pacifist too And He'll leave us all breathless from what he came to do. And we’ve seen our share of rebels- they rise and fall down. But something is different when Jesus comes to town Yes, everything is different when Jesus comes to town!

By His Reign 02:07
(Recorded live in concert) (Isaiah 61:1–2; 58:6) Truly he taught us to love one another His law is love and his Gospel is peace Chains shall he break for the slave is our brother And in his name all oppression shall cease And in his name all oppression shall cease And by his reign All oppression shall cease Fall on your knees Fall on your knees Come to restore Oh, King of the world Oh, King divine Oh King divine!
